Elliptec Module R40

Unlike DC or stepper motors, the system integration of resonant piezoelectric drives often requires a considerable amount of electronics and software know how in addition to a system design that has optimized mechanical vibration properties.

In order to simplify the system integration of its piezoelectric drives, Elliptec has developed drive modules that incorporate the Elliptec Motor together with the driven element and the electronics in a compact package. Depending on the installed software, the modules exhibit basic DC or stepper motor behavior and also offer a considerably expanded functionality. The modules have a simple analog (DC) or digital Pulse-and-Direction interface, which is common in stepper motors. In addition, the modules offer integrated position feedback and let the user program their own motion profiles.

These modules have optimized electrical and mechanical (vibration) properties that are appropriate for most applications.
