Rear Screen Projection TV
The quality of TV projection optics is a decisive factor. Elliptec’s technology doubles the vertical resolution of DLP-based rear screen projection units. The Elliptec Actuator A10E tilts a mirror by one tenth of a degree to shift the projected image vertically by up to one line. This effect causes line-interlacing and creates a smoother, yet true-to-detail digital image.

Miniaturization
The accurate reproduction of features is essential in miniature scale models. The same is true for their functionality. The Elliptec Motor is used as a drive system in a number of scale model products.

Gebr. Märklin und Cie. GmbH, Göppingen, uses the Elliptec Motor in their train model series 103 (H0 gauge) to realistically raise and lower a pantograph. In another model, a service locomotive, three Elliptec Motors raise and lower the pantograph and raise and turn a service platform. Several mobile crane units have been equipped with Elliptec Motors to achieve multiple user controlled functions with only few extra parts: raising the boom, rotating the driver cabin, raising and lowering the load hook. Due to the intrinsic friction clutch of the Elliptec Motor, this “toy” is also safe for children.
