Minipiezo Stack
The engine that powers Elliptec's products is a 5,05x2,95x2,45mm3 piezo stack. It consists of 180 layers, each about 27µm thick, and can therefore be used at voltages as low as 5V. At the maximum voltage of 54V, the longitudinal elongation of the piezo stack is ~4µm.
The piezo stack may be used for generating resonant and non-resonant vibrations. Further applications include energy harvesting from pressure and vibration for spark generation and for powering electronics.
